Tasks - The 'Conservation' Bit

'Tasks are what we call our working meets. They can involve either working on our own site on Woodhouse Ridge, or with conservation groups at various locations around Leeds.

We aim to have at least one task every weekend and occasional tasks during working days.

Make sure when you attend tasks, you come prepared to work, wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty and muddy, and bring waterproofs. Also make sure you wear sturdy footwear - we can't let you use most of our tools without them.

For the most part, we provide all the tools and protective gear you'll need. If you wish to bring your own equipment along to a task, please let us know in advance - we are not covered to use everything, and it may have to be inspected before use. Any tools not cleared in advance of a task will not be used.

Previous activities we've had our volunteers doing include:-
- Shrub Clearance
- Path Construction
- Tree Planting
- Pond Management and Maintenance
- Hedge Laying
